I earned my Master's Degree in School Psychology in 1997 and my Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology in 2005, both from George Mason University. (You can even view my educational credentials .)

I'm also the author of the workbook, Eight Weeks to Positive Discipline. This 200-page workbook was written for parents of children age 2 to 10. 

Working one-on-one with parents for over 8 years from my parenting support practice in Northern Virginia, my staff and I teach parents the simple, effective tools that will lead quickly to the happy, well-behaved children that every parent wants. 

Prior to earning my Master’s degree, I taught preschool full-time at the Country Day School in McLean, Virginia. I also served as a school psychologist during my internship in the Manassas City Public Schools, in Virginia.
